Mona's journey raises new questions about the meaning of "home"; she is at home everywhere and nowhere.
Where will Mona's journey take her next? This is an open question, but what I'm sure of is that she will continue to engage with the burning issues of the day, no matter where she is located. I might not believe that there is one uniform argument that can be made to link women across the region, but Mona is certainly starting a dialogue for the future of women. She has achieved a level of freedom that she seeks to promote on our behalf. For instance, she is trying to spread the #MeToo movement to Egypt, Tweets relentlessly from her personal account about their plight. As a migrant intellectual, she inspires us to go behind our deepest beliefs and convictions, and to keep alive our ability to question.
